Mystiko Network Faces Insider Trading Allegations After Airdrop

Mystiko Network faces insider trading allegations from the community following its second token airdrop.

The controversy erupted when the community noticed that two addresses received significantly more tokens than most other participants. According to blockchain data, wallet “0xBca” received 59,570 XZK ($1,787), and wallet “0xda8” received 60,325 XZK tokens ($2,170).

In contrast, the majority of other airdrop participants received between 400 and 5,740 XZK tokens, worth up to $172.

Mystiko Network responded by claiming that the two wallets receiving the larger airdrops belonged to early contributors to the protocol.

Cryptocurrency airdrops have faced increased scrutiny in 2024, as many are plagued by professional airdrop hunters who use multiple wallets to farm the same airdrop with no intention of using the protocol long-term, opting instead to sell the rewards quickly.
