CertiK’s migration to Alibaba Cloud aims to enhance blockchain development security and resource efficiency in Asia.
Blockchain security firm CertiK has moved its cloud infrastructure in Asia to Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
As part of this transition, CertiK will host its suite of 12 blockchain applications on Alibaba Cloud, leveraging its cloud resources to enhance Web3 services.
By utilizing Alibaba’s centralized cloud infrastructure, CertiK aims to provide blockchain developers with a secure environment for developing and deploying Web3 applications. Ronghui Gu, co-founder of CertiK, stated:
“For over five years, we have believed in the transformative power of blockchain technology. We look forward to empowering developers with secure blockchain development and deployment through Alibaba Cloud’s platform.”
Previously, Alibaba Cloud partnered with the Avalanche blockchain to support its Node-as-a-Service initiatives. This collaboration allowed Avalanche developers to launch new validator nodes using Alibaba’s cloud infrastructure.
Developers who anticipate high resource demands during peak hours can take advantage of Alibaba Cloud’s additional computing, storage, and distribution resources.
CertiK’s partnership with Alibaba Cloud began in May 2023, when CertiK brought its security suite to Alibaba Cloud’s Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) platform.
This partnership enabled CertiK’s developers to conduct code reviews, risk assessments, team identity verification, and background checks on Alibaba’s cloud infrastructure.
Initially, CertiK integrated its smart contract auditing and layer 1 blockchain auditing services and planned to introduce penetration testing and CertiK’s Skynet due diligence tool.
Summary Review: This move to Alibaba Cloud represents a strategic step for CertiK in enhancing the security and efficiency of blockchain development in Asia. By leveraging Alibaba’s robust cloud infrastructure, CertiK aims to provide a secure and scalable environment for Web3 developers, facilitating the growth and adoption of blockchain technology.
