Crypto Startup Launches Tokenized US Treasury Bonds on Bitcoin Layer-2s

A new crypto startup, Hamilton, has launched tokenized US Treasury bonds on Bitcoin layer-2 blockchains. This innovative launch is claimed to be the first of its kind.

Hamilton’s tokenized US Treasury bonds, called Hamilton U.S. T-Bills (HUST), will be available on the Stacks, Core, and BoB (Build on Bitcoin) Bitcoin layer-2 solutions. According to a company statement, the first transaction with HUST occurred on July 4.

Combining Bitcoin’s Stability with a Reliable Yield
The use of Bitcoin layer2 decentralized finance ecosystems combines the stability of the Bitcoin network with the reliability of the US dollar. Bitcoin layer2 solutions enhance the network’s scalability and functionality. Hamilton’s co-founder and CEO, Kasstawi, said:

The Hamilton executive referred to as Kasstawi, is known in the blockchain space as Mohamed Elkasstawi.
