Trip.com, the Singapore-based travel service company, is facing backlash from the crypto community after announcing the end of its Trekki NFT project.
On July 16, the official Trekki NFT account on X (formerly Twitter) announced that the project would be shut down on August 1. The message stated that all planned features for Phase 2 would be canceled, and community operations would cease. Additionally, all collaborative activities related to the NFT project will be terminated.
Despite the shutdown, Trekki NFT holders will still have some benefits, such as the ability to claim and use discount coupons on the Trip.com platform. The project also hinted at the possibility of restarting in the future, stating that new projects might offer additional benefits to existing NFT holders.
